>>11160742Yeah weighted stands are just too useful for something like stop motion. A regular stand can help keep the figure in place but won't support the weight of an entire figure in a mid-air position or even if they're just in an off-balance position, not like a weighted stand can.
Something like pic related, a cast iron based soldering iron stand would be fairly useful for it.
It does require time-consuming effort to edit it out later, but its how you can get some real fluid and lifelike movement out of seemingly rigid toys.
