Superman's a great character when the reader sees him as a friend, like he's letting you come along to enjoy the ride Superman stories should be, inherently, fun or full of wonder, and Superman himself should reflect that. Even Jim Lee's old legally distinct Superman expy in wildcats, Mr. Majestic, was just a big powerful asshole who was always angry looking. What works for Batman doesn't work for Superman.
It'll still look cool Im sure, but I'd prefer another artists's take.
