Those of you who do older kits with raised details, how do you replace any panel lines that inevitably get decimated when you need to hide a seam?
What I've been doing is putting down 2 pieces of tape and putting on several very heavy applications of a high build primer (in this case mr surfacer 1000). I dont think it looks super amazing, especially up close like this but from normal viewing distance it looks pretty correct, especially after you smooth it out a bit with some 1k grit
Just wondering if anyone else has any cool ideas. I already tried the whole rescribe it all thing on a previous model but it was so tedious and shitty that I'd rather just keep the raised details.
