>>5222380I also came up with a really good way to hold smaller pieces for airbrushing.
I take a piece of sheet styrene, and cut it into a flat rectangle. Then I take some masking tape, and take it down so that the sticky sides face upwards opposite the sheet. This works really well for flat pieces like panels because it allows me to completely cut it from the sprue for painting, while keeping the backside completely protected until I'm ready to paint the rear color of the part.
It also protects parts of the plastic that I'm going to be gluing by preventing the paint from getting on the edges that will be glued together.
