Merlin looks so utterly plain, I didn't bother to buy him.Yeah, I can understand that, but I assure you figma Merlin is pretty damn impressive in person even with the Takeuchi-style face. He's pretty heavy for a figma (the stand connector even uses a metal rod) and when looking from afar he almost looks like a mini-statue, even more so if you use the flower accesories.
Then again I'm not that bothered by the Takeuchi face. Would have prefered the more unique game art, but as someone who has been into Fate for 15 years it's pretty cool to have an action figure of Merlin that fits perfectly with the original cast of characters.
