>>8155204>>8157234Alright, I've toned it down a bit. Really fell down the rabbit hole, looking at the different railroads, what engines they had, collecting pictures and references. This hobby really has it all, electronics, modeling, detailing, research. I've decided on doing a small diorama of the New Haven railroad, bought an Atlas RS-11 used for 70$ including shipping, and then two 40' boxcars. Heard Atlas is decent, and could serve as a good base to convert to DCC if I want to. Diorama will be static, 8" x 20" so it can fit in my bookcase. Those catenaries I want to design some custom photoetch for, and I'll string them together like ship rigging. Should be a neat little dio when done.
