Hello LG!
I've got another topic I've been wanting to discuss with you guys: your first minifigure.
Now this could be part of your first set or stand alone.
For me it was the guy in the picture I've attached. I got him when I was really small, maybe four or five years old. A neighbor gave this guy to me - I don't remember why but that's how I got my first figure.
At the time I didn't know what LEGO was, let alone what Blacktron 2 was. I had no idea what he was part of a larger "system" of toys.
I took and played with him as-is and he became my main hero for most of my play sessions.
What I remember fascinating me the most was the fact that his helmet visor could go up and down. To me that seemed to be a form of "space magic" and I remember thinking that he could definitely survive on the moon because he could put his visor down.
I would receive my first set a few years later, and slowly understand what LEGO was and start wanting more.
By that time my friend was in a pretty rough shape, his legs got very loose and his helmet wouldn't stay on. That's why the helmet is slightly misaligned with his face - dad glued it that way when he fixed it.
I've considered restoring him, but can't bring myself to replace any of his parts (all of the parts are the same ones I got him with).
I sometimes wonder what his history was before I got him (BL2 gear, Pirates head).
Over the years I'd get other figures to act as my main hero, to a degree replacing him, because of the poor condition of some of his parts. Even so - he always held a special place for me and I always took good care of him.
So what was your first minifigure? How did you get it? What kind of adventures did he go on? Do you still have your friend? I'd like to hear about if!
