>>10583485>>10583599Age isn't "Bad", it's just pretty weak with a few high moments here and there. The whole Generational thing is very neat to see when every other Gundam outside of UC only skips ahead a year or two at most, but in retrospective it kills the pacing of the show since you need to soft-reset the show every 13ish episodes to introduce the new Asuno kid and the new status quo. Flit's arc is a nice little take on 0079, Asemu's arc is probably the best of the 3 main kids, and Kio starts out okay but goes full retard the moment the AGE-3 Orbital gets captured. The Level 5 character designs are also really hit and miss, like put this guy next to Gihren, Rau, Trieze, or any other end-game Gundam villain and he and his schnoz would get laughed out of the room.
It was just too ambitious of a show while also being a bit more dumbed down for kids. If they made it a Father and Son story I could see it being a bit more concise but doing two generation skips was a bit too much.
