>>5467502>>5467553>>5467564LEGO Ebay Seller here. (I posted a thread or two ago asking if it was evil to sell clearance LEGO on eBay since people seem to hate eBayers here).
Spoiler warning: It don't mean shit what pictures you take. You could record a fucking video of you putting in a mint condition box sealed in carbonite.
The bottom line is this: if a seller makes a claim that the item was damaged/unsealed or worse, missing entirely, 99% of the time they will side with the buyer.
eBay is scared to death of an eBay customer getting upset because a seller "scammed" them, and then that person never shops at eBay again and eBay makes no more money from that person.
They's rather piss on the seller who is actually making money, but is likely too invested in their operations to pull out of eBay for one transaction going awry.
Sorry this happened to you, Anon. You can filter criteria for your buyers (strikes on their account, unpaid item claims, etc.), so I would heavily restrict who can buy from you if you sell high dollar items.
Also sell via UPS with delivery confirmation and signatures for pricey stuff. It's the best you can do.
