>>10302781>those Titan Heroes Hasbro makes should go for a fortune then, they're big after all!Holy retard.
You're trying to compare fucking 5PoA toys to 30+PoA? Fucking retard. Those Titan Hero figures could be made with a single mold because there's like FIVE pieces to be molded
Once you start going over 20PoA, there's far more pieces to be molded than just 20 parts, because the engineering is becoming more complex. Ball-hinges usually come in two parts. Barbells are usually seperate from the limbs. Nevermind the figure and accessories themselves can sometimes be made from multiple parts, requiring even more molds.
They also can't make a single giant mold to produce so many tiny pieces, because the molten plastic could solidify in the channels and other errors that comes from traveling longer
And there's a reason why Joytoy doesn't actually make the Warhammer figures in 1:18 scale, because the size their Primaris Marines are at is the maximum size they can produce before requiring larger/more molds. In other words, the 4.5" Marines use the same amount of molds as a normal 4" figure does, despite their larger size
How do we know this? Because other companies who make 1:18 sized figures sell larger than 4.5" figures at a higher price than 3.75"-4.5" figures. Hasbro, Hiya, McFarlane, etc etc etc. We also see the same shit with 1:12 figures or how McFarlane is able to produce 7" figures for the same price as 1:12 (and also other 1:10 lines)
So Joytoy avoids making 1:18 scale Space Marines because they're cheaping out, despite charging upwards of $90
>Hiya has single joints and is made mostly out of very soft plastic. You've just proven you've never seen a Hiya figure in your life. Their $20 figures are double jointed in the same places as Joytoy's and the plastic they use isn't any softer than Joytoy's. The $40-50 Hiya figures (scaled correctly because Hiya pays attention and isn't ripping you off like Joytoy), can also feature even more joints and extra limbs
