>>7296032There was always a debate about the scale of the figures, though the original intention was to be a Glyos compatible line. But to accomplish that, they'd have to be 4" tall figures. 6" figures were always planned, but as stretch goals. After getting the price quotes back, and listening to a lot of fan requests, they decided it would be better to stay with a single scale.
As a scale they've worked with for a years and that fit with all their previous lines, with a minimal price difference between 4" and 6" (A basic BFS figure was $25 during their KS, Mythic Legion Legion Builders were $18, fully painted figures were 32) they just stuck with 6". They still delivered on making troop builders and larger monsters and mounts are right around the corner, so the choice in size hasn't really had any negative on their production.
I'm glad they went with the larger scale figures. As a huge Joe fan, I do love my 3" 3/4 figures, but they just don't have the same presence as a larger 6" toy. Joes work great in Dios and Playsets, but 6" figures look a lot better on a shelf and that's a huge factory for me.
There's also so many lines these guys work perfectly with at this scale, it would've been a shame if they were made at a smaller size. I bought so many of the old ToyBiz LotR figures just so I can strip them of parts and weapons and gear my Legions to the teeth. I don't think I'd have near the amount of options to do this with a smaller Glyos compatible figure.
