Why are you getting so buttflustered over people saying the Dreamcast was ahead of its time anyway? Did a Sega exec join in with the Bandai boardroom in gangraping you as a kid?
>pic of Revoltech founder and long time Kaiyodo member geeking out over wanting to copy MdFarlane Toys,>Implying that being inspired by someone = ripping them off wholesale>Implying that an artist cannot exceed his inspirations and become greater than themLmao. Most of the more directly McFarlane inspired pre-Revo Kaiyodo toys were much prettier looking than their McFarlane contemporaries, and a lot were better articulated too.
>McFarlane created the only true revolution in toy making in the past 50 years.KEK no. Most if not all "collector" toys made before the Figma and Revoltech arms race started in 2008 have aged like milk- meanwhile even some of the earliest Figmas still hold up. Pic related is pretty ancient and is still a fantastic figure that blows a lot of modern Western releases out the water in terms of quality, articulation and presentation.
It's not the early 2000s anymore. Standards have evolved.
