>>10432493The clip definitely works better for the Dwarves as their hands are shallow and stiff and can't really hold the thick shield handles well at all. 2.0 figures also can have a difficult time with the shield in certain poses, but overall they can...no pun intended...handle them well enough.
I do agree that the big emblem shields are way too heavy and far too gaudy to be used as actual shields. In a vacuum, they look nice. But as defensive weapons they're just awful and would only get you tangled up in your opponents weapons, giving them control of your shield. And as toy accessories, they are once again awful because they're heavy, unwieldy and just plain silly looking.
I only have the Xylonia one, and I just ended up popping it apart from the kite shield piece to use as a smaller, ornate buckler shield. Or rather that's how I have it until I can find some sort of throne or banner set up to display it on it's own. They do look nice, and they're a great display piece, just not when they're displayed in the hands of a figure.
....and I know I said I wouldn't post more pics, but this one is relevant to the conversation as it shows off the Xylonian shield without the kite piece!
