PoP sold $60 million in '85 to He-Man's $250 million, suggesting that while it didn't create new fans, it doubled Mattel's sales to the 25% of He-Man fans who were girls. That whole phenomenon was heavily dependent on the cartoons, so who knows what Golden Girl could have done if Galoob had committed to funding a cartoon?
