*It was never really adequately explained, but apparently those are like Body snatching Headmasters with ill defined vampiric and Titan controlling abilities. They also served some function or other for the 13 Primes. We only ever get to see Sentinel and Blackrock/Sovereign, who existed almost exclusively in the loosest, worst written, tie-in heavy, portions of the continuity, so we don’t really get much more concretely/coherently than that.
