I found that if you put the fists on his side you can use those to very securely attach Slash as a butt plate. Which then better hides Grimlock's bot thighs so it looks fine having his shin facing out instead of sideways so they're wider. The whole effect is a better filled out abdomen and thicker thighs and I honestly think he looks pretty good.
I had an extra Slash I was going to turn into a pachycephalosaur so maybe that can go on the upper back.
I was also thinking to get another Snarl to turn into a ankylosaur.
