I have a few billys (Big and small), with a couple of glass shelves. A galant with the expansion. I have more than a couple of effektives (I have the small ones too but they're enclosed by doors) with expansions which were pre-Galants.
I have a few Kallaxs as well, one big one and a few small ones.
Then i have locally made bookcases. None of these are used to display toys.
The Ikea stuff has an odd smattering of toys, because none of my furniture is dedicated toward display of toys. In fact, my media cabinets probably hold more toys for display than any of my bookshelves.
Personally, i really like the Effectivs. They're deep as fuck, so you can still store a bunch of shit like normal and then have like 10" of room in front of that.
I used to make dioramas for that area in front to display my toys on my shelves.
Obviously, this means you can't get to the stuff behind it, which is why i don't currently do that.
