>>8750942I did mention while posting that he'd probably be priced out of 9V stuff, but I still bothered listing them since those are all quite lovely trains to look at/run. With 9V dead and PF on its deathbed Powered Up is definitely a newcomer's best option going forward for powering trains. (Outside of 3rd party stuff like SBrick or BuWizz).
As for the Disney train it's probably good for the parts but I do have some qualms with it as a set (Why the fuck did they use black train wheels for the tender when the engine already comes with red ones for the boiler domes?). If anon wants to make german steam locomotives and wants those red drivers super-bad then fuck yeah, go pick that set up. However if he just wants to build a train right out of the box I'd go for the cheaper City sets.
