>>9491539My logic there is that Cable from Deadpool 2 didn't have a comic book style hero outfit, just some clothe ans gear he got at the present day. Most of the X-Men films didn't have those kind of superhero suits in general. AY wise Deadpool and maybe Psylocke kinda have the movie influence happening.
But the big evidence that movie played its part for AY Cable is the gun assembling gimmick. Clearly from that one scene movie Cable makes his gun.
>>9495350Not really. Like the selection of characters are MvC based as those games are still where Japanese of certain age know comic book characters from. But costume choices are influenced by the movies for sure, if applicable. Iron Man was Bleeding Edge because Infinity War and Endgame had the nanotech suits that were BE inspired, War Machine no question, Cap is the modern tacticool ver more in line to how he is in the films, etc. Not costumes they would be if the MvC looks took priority. It seems X-Men characters that really didn't get comic accurate costumes in films get the appropriate era suits to the rest of the Marvel AY for sake of consistency. Wolverine isn't the 90's version and even Gambit is modernized (just different colours). If we get AY of Cyclops, Storm, or Rogue I'm interested to see what costumes they would be. By then MCU X-Men might make the decision for them.
