>>9511006>You obviously misinterpreted what I originally said. No, i got what you said, and it seems you're missing the point.
>Companies know they can get away with charging collectors a fat premium just because it has the words "adult collectible"Again, go look at WCT's Warthog which is $30. Again, there's waaay more detail that is found than on that $20 POS. More paint apps. More seperately molded pieces. Different materials to make it behave and feel genuine. $30 for a 1:18 medium sized vehicle. You're getting your money's worth from all that detail that is only possible from being as expensive as it is.
Mcfarlane is selling a toy that's nearly as tall as WCT's Warthog is long. It looks as detailed as WCT's from the outside alone, but it's ALSO detailed inside too. Show me anything cheaper that comes as detailed for less. Anything you can post will be before prices started increasing in 2015/2016.
>if that Warthog were released today it'd absolutey be $150It wouldn't, because look at the size of Batman Monster truck. It's even bigger and just as detailed for only $80.
And don't compare Hasbro's giant stuff. Hasbro is a much greedier company than Jazwares/Spinmasters/McFarlane and giant shit is even harder to sell today than it was before.
>>9511257Almost all vehicles are hollow, but McFarlane's stuff actually had a bottom and working internals, unlike cheapshit from Mattel, Hasbro, Spinmasters and budget brands who leave the negative showing. Working INDEPENDENT suspension is pretty much god-tier. Not even Jada did that with their diecast 1:18 Warthog. I can't speak on what you saw, but I never saw slop and there's more paint detail on McFarlane's than on WCT's. I can't speak on scale, but most pictures posted have the figures sitting in the cabin as good as we've seen Jada's and WCT's.
