>>8808268Personally it feels pretty intuitive. I just bought the basic black+grey+brown gundam markers and follow along the detailing of the pieces, wiping away excess with my fingers or using a cotton swab/toothpick for smaller nooks and crannies.
It's very relaxing, which is where most of my enjoyment from the hobby comes from. I always respect the hell out of good paint jobs but for me the perfect equilibrium of relaxation is filing, sanding, lining, then posing. Not too much or too little effort.
(Though I admittedly get a little too relaxed sometimes and fuck up some nubs out of laziness but oh well.)
