Kind of a tangential thought I had today. Found a GIJOE Fang. Wondered why, with all the other "exclusives" and crossovers TFs: Why haven't we gotten any GIJoe/Tranformers Crossovers? If I remember they've attempted since like the 80s. 4 inch Cobra Commander in a transforming Megatron HISS tank. Or invent new characters as Classic Joe Vehicles, and pair them with the classic Joes, like Duke and Scarlett. and I'm talking bigger than Human Alliance.
Or is this another industry superstition, like making Arcee 30 year after the fact? (Because boys won't want a pink car girl toy.) We can't cross promote brands we own together.
