Here's my deal:
>country has very specific tax rules>anything under 22€ is without trouble, untaxableHow this applies to RL tho:
>enthusiastically import two MGs>pay another 2/3rd of original order price in tax + administrative feesSo since then I've been narrowly keeping track of my orderprice but then this beautiful piece of shit situation happened:
>place order>original yen price translates to 21-ish euro>3 weeks later>get notice: pay up the 15 euro administrative fee plus like 5 euro tax>that's almost 100% my goddamn orderprice, decide to call in>fuckers took later exchange rate making it 23-ish amount of euro>"law's the law sir, you should know this when ordering online"I swear they've got me on a list hoping I fuck up. But yeah there's this thing here where everyone knows local retail is dying b/c people keep buying shit from China and any 'punishment' for those who do is almost being applauded.
Except I don't order shit from China that's locally sold. I buy gunpla from Japan that IF sold locally sells for about 250% the price I can get it at (tax not included). Which gives me even more dodgy looks when I explain it to people.
>>7547150Gave up on Amazon after two UNRELATED Japanese marketplace sellers sent me the wrong kit and wouldn't refund me without an A-Z Guarantee. I've only tried ordering TWICE.
