Obviously, they aren't made in as limited numbers as SDCC figures, but i sure as hell have an easier time getting SDCC figures than mass market figures at their MSRP.

Like you said, the molds are made and there is likely some reuse, so the added cost for them isn't actually that much.
And i do hope they make a ton. I'll probably want to buy 2 or 3 of the foot clan sets for army building and sell off the Shredders.
