I just ordered an USS NCC-1701 Enterprise Refit model and the accompanying Aztec paint masking set. I am going to do my best to make it as screen accurate while still keeping the budget within reason, and there is a bit of a snag. I didn't realize that the TrekModeler painting guide is something you have to pay $30 just to read. I am not going to pay $30 just to look at a color map for the aztec paneling, so I am basically in here to E-beg and see if there is a free alternative color reference or if anyone happens to have a copy of the PDF they would be willing to post.
I am really only interested in the aztec color maps because I already know what paints I am going to use and there are plenty of Youtube videos showing how to build these models. And I know that neither the guide or the masks are 100% "screen accurate" but from what I understand they are a pretty reasonable approximation. If all else fails I'll just give it my best guess from the reference photos available, and make my own color map, but I figured it would be worth asking first if it could save me a lot of work. Paying $30 just for some information is not in the cards for me, especially given how time and money I'm already spending on a single Star Trek model project.
