>>7851936Good to see another one of the tribe. What figures and story do you have? It would be nice to swap stories with a like minded collector.
>>7851992Not brush on, though. It's also called sealant. Spray can, you do a layer, lt it dry and do another and it should even protect from a fingernail scratch. YOu can get it from hobby companies but you can also get it in the hobby section of Walmart near the paints and any home improvement store where they sell spraypaint. And to respond to your earlier question
>>7850403 You want to prime them first. So wash them with soap and water if you like and dry them fully, I don't usually but it's recommended by many. Gently mist with spraypaint. White if it's going to be a yellow or other light color, black if it's meant to be red or dark green, grey for middle range colors.
My method after years of doing it with figures and miniatures is a light coat, then I brush them down once dry to get the same color or darker in every crevice. I do this so I don't gunk up the details with the spraypaint. PIc related is what I did last night, I will paint them down with black, let them dry and then paint them as I like. After that spray with sealant, let sit for a day, spray again. Remember to mist and cover but never get it soaking. I'll post pictures as I go through the steps. I hope that's helpful.
>>7850475I'd love to hear your stories and characters as well.
>>7850975I adore that you bought so many of them. Seeing them as an entourage is perfect.
>>7851020Oh Jesus, not another Star Wars Christmas Special!
Really cool, though, and thos einstruments were a good find. I know the tubes you are talking about and I've never seen one with instruments. You may be able to flip them on EBay for a couple extra bucks. You'd also be helping fellow hobbyists avoid paying ~$10 per instrument.
