>>9271804....guy, did you stop reading after the first line?
I said pretty much the same exact thing, the first few Ret figures sucked, but most of the line was amazing. The Joe Trooper, Snake Eyes, and the Ninjas were the only first wave figures who were fully articulated and not loaded with awful gimmick gear. X-treme Luge Firefly™ came in the second wave, and was one of the weaker of that group imo despite his radical ride, but again the two ninja and a new The Rock (as roadblock) were pretty excellent.
Then wave 2.5 hit and it became all go no slow. The second half of the second wave was all fully articulated, gear loaded, new figures and wave three just put everything to shame. I mean, look at this wave (potato cam not withstanding), that is one sexy damn wave. A few great movie accurate figures, a few out of left field wtfs, a few never-evers, a couple definitive updates of key OGs and a handful of amazing army builders. Some of em even come with mini-vehicles that are actual actually useful and fun to use. The Retaliation line had a rocky start, but it ended with one hell of a bang....except Jinx, she was kind of half assed.
As for the Ghost Hawk, it has enough room in it's cargo bay area to seat at least two or three figures, which would have been more then enough to act as a transport. Give it a sliding side door instead of the drop door gimmick and some molded in seats and you'd be all set. Considering that's what it did in the films it's from, it's not too big of stretch. The Eaglehawk is a fantastic transport, but there's no reason why the Joes can't have more then one VTOL based drop ship to get in and out of combat zones.
On the outside, it looks like a great, old school Joe vehicle. It was just hampered by a silly gimmick that greatly limited it's play value. Had it been played straight, then it could have easily ingrained itself as a new Joe staple transport.
