>>6039816>There is no shortage of ninja themed figures out there. There is a shortage of bird people based on all kinds of rare or interesting birds.Missing the point.
Who are you to say that one is more justified than the other?
With both lines, they're obviously been funded by people who want the product. The demand is there for both.
Neither idea is worth more than the other, unless you agree that the prices they go for proves their actual worth.
IB4 popularity proves their worth, in which case: does that mean the Toyota Corolla is worth more than a Ferrari just because Toyota sells over a million more Corollas every single year? Or inversely, does the Fwoosh Ninja prove its worth $50 because it was sold at that price or like that million dollar urinal?
Nah, in fact, because that ninja is people actually ask for all the time, does that mean it's more justified? Arguably, yes. How many people have ever asked for anthropomorphic fantasy bird warriors? I'm sure there's a fantasy thread somewhere of some obscure fantasy book that got all of two posts wishing for some.
People want generic shit to fit in with their own collections. A "neutral" realistically sculpted toy is more likely to fit in with more things than the dozens of other stylized ninjas you're thinking about. There are like two or one options for people to buy such a figure, and it's severely lacking compared to Fwoosh's and costs just as much.
I'm a firm believer that anything can be justified and worth it, because it really comes down to what you yourself want. I know a lot of things i buy are overpriced, but what am i going to do? It's either get it or not. I won't buy anything that i know will get a hundred thousand reiterations though, if it doesn't meet my criteria. This is why i didn't bother to back the Fwoosh Ninja in the first place. Seeing this review is making me change my mind, because as a standalone figure, it looks really well done.
