>>8091801The new GITS show would've been fine as its own new thing, but the show being a direct sequel to a beloved show makes it even worse. For one thing, Ilya's depiction of SAC Motoko makes her look younger by design, which doesn't make sense when you consider the lore of the show and how Motoko tries to maintain the same body type and only changing it as she grows older to suit her older age (pic-related). It shows that the artist/producers barely even looked into the work they're assigned with. Ilya's known plagiarism/tracing is just the icing on top of it.
