>>9341306Personally, any set where you're building one specific thing for more than one bag, with no interruptions for anything different at least, aren't worth shit in my eyes.
Like for instance I've been building UCS Falcon my buddy got for me for bday and noticed that the only time I had genuine fun was when I was building two interior rooms. One second you're making that beige chair, the other you're making escape capsules, then it's a hyperdrive, then it's chess table, a computer etc. Love that shit. And then you get back to the Falcon itself and all you do for another 20 hours is putting together chunks of metal. Absolutely nothing to relate to, you won't even understand what the fuck is this shit you're holding in your hand without knowing beforehand what it's a sub assembly of a spaceship. Even though I love Star Wars.
Medieval Blacksmith I got from my dad for same bday was infinitely more enjoyable to put together. You're making a forge, a tree, a pile of logs, garden, bed, chairs and so on. It's so diverse and relatable, so fun. And even the building itself changes on every level, each of the 3 stories has different style to it with barely any common pieces. Hell, you can take half-built wall of it and show to some rando on the street and they'll tell you what it's a brick or clay wall, good luck to do the same with a piece of some spaceship hull.
