>>10249123Try speed cubing. Avoid Rubik's brand as they're shit. Try a budget cube like the MoYu RS3 M 2020 3x3 for only $8.99. If in the US, best sites to buy are the speedcubeshop and the cubicle. I recommend buying some fast and slow lube too. Traxxas 50k diff oil I like so far for slow. Lotta options for fast. Not sure what I like best yet. Maybe try mystic or look online for more opinions. Just get small things of the lube for now. You don't need a physical timer yet. Online ones and phone applications do the trick just fine. However, as a noobie don't focus on time yet. Just learn to solve the cube.
Altogether, you're looking at around 20 bucks to get started minus shipping. Pretty cheap hobby overall. If you wanna splurge a bit, try the xman tornado v3 pioneer (my current favorite cube). There's also the very expensive GAN cubes but those can wait and they won't magically make you better but you might like the way they feel.
>I can't solve one/it's too difficult/I'm too stupid/etc.Nonsense! Anyone can solve the cube and it'll feel awesome when you can do it solo. It does take a little dedication and practice though. Getting faster takes a long time but it's a fun grind and super rewarding.
>How do I even solve it?Start with the beginners method then move on to CFOP (cross, first 2 layers, orient last layer, permute last layer). The gyaru cube waifu in the manga below will get you started albeit I feel like it's not the best explanation. Look online for more tutorials on the beginners method as needed.
Good luck and have fun. I am absolutely obsessed with this toy so I hope someone will get something from this post.
