He's now taller than the Turtles, at least, where the basic figure is shorter than Mikey and looks ridiculous. You lose the elbow joints but gain a ball-jointed neck which makes him much more expressive. I found him and the Splinter from this line at Big Lots yesterday, so they should still be around.
I kind of wish I had bought more when this line was everywhere. I don't know where this play pattern of swapping parts between characters came from, but swapping Slash and Splinter's heads made me laugh for a good minute. The Turtles themselves look pretty shit but most aren't that different from their basic counterparts and some (Slash, Rocksteady, Rahzar) are genuine improvements.
