Well I've done my first plastic model in years. And the third one I've ever attempted. The first two were nubby disasters because I used scissors to cut the runners like a retard. This time I bought some basic tools, a pair of cutters and an x-acto knife set. Didn't really get much use out of the knife set, my hand's a little too unsteady for trying to remove nubs with one. But the cutters did well enough. It was a learning curve, too, had to figure out how to hold the nubs as I cut them down so they wouldn't fly all over. I really should get a file or something to sand them down, heard there were some specialty files that are good.
So my third ever build was Reboot Omegamon. The earlier one, not the Amplified version. Would you believe me if I told you I sat on this kit for more than four years? Took me that long for my ADHD ass to get around to getting some tools. I didn't paint because I'm a pleb and probably would have fucked it up, but I'm surprised how well the stickers came out. Tweezers are better than my hand. All in all, it was a six hour build account for the short break I took for dinner. It was fun, but also kinda exhausting. Not sure how I'm gonna handle Machinedramon, probably best to pace myself.
Sadly I don't have any pictures, as I have no phone to take them with. It's not anything special, anyways. I love this kit but also hate it, the joints are frighteningly tight and the WarGreymon mouth refuses to close all the way. Is this a common issue with the kit? My overall experience was "this isn't so bad, I don't know why anyone shits on this kit" and then it's literally all downhill the moment I get to the WarGreymon head. Goddamn. Cutting the nubs off of it was super awkward too, thanks to the angles. Does look really, really fucking cool, though.
