How do I apply gloss coat properly? I'm using Tamiya X-22 clear with mr. color leveling thinner. The ratio I'm using is 1:1 as I've read that I should mix it at that ratio. I was watching videos and people tend to spray this stuff wet instead of light misty coats. I was spraying 3-5 inches away at 15-17 psi, and I get this nasty orange peel texture. Note that the base coat was tamiya xf-25 which is a flat acrylic. I'm just gloss coating for panel lines, and stickers and I do plan on making the final top coat to be flat finish. Will this orange peel affect the final look after being flat coated? And how do I prevent this orange peel look just for future references?
