I suppose you'd have to blame G1 accuracy and the G1 toy if you think the fire truck's no good.
Which is a fair complaint to make. eg, the Autobot clones are accurate to the G1 toy... including unhidden arms. Modernized/alternative takes can be nice. But at the same time, if obscure tiny randos are getting a modern run, it'd probably be safer to base things on the sole thing people would know these guys by..
