what's really going to happen is that I get some FOMO therapy, courtesy of Lego. I got a little bit of that when I kinda wanted a Link & Zelda minifig (in a $300+ set) sorry Lego, I'm not in a financial place where I can spend that kind of money on tiny plastic (cool) things. I wonder how many of these I'll miss out on before I stop caring all together
Facebook has already "cured" me of clicking on the pictures with the unfinished-stories to see the rest of the picture (you KNOW what I'm talking about, if you've been on facebook at all) I no longer need to see those at all, and can calmly scroll right past them.
I wonder how many of these unreachable, multi-hundred dollar sets Lego will go through until they implode and nobody cares anymore? Like, there was most certainly a drop-off in sales of the minifigure series when Mr. Gold hit, and fans could no longer get a -complete- set, so people stopped caring about getting complete sets (myself included!)
