Took almost an entire day to get just one side of the ship's rails done. I tried multiple ways to speed it up including placing the wire through the poles before I even placed it on the model, that was a huge mistake and cost me a lot of time because it's much harder to glue them into the holes I drilled that way.
The easiest way to do these Tamiya rails is to drill the holes, and then just place all of the photo etch into the holes with CA glue and let it completely solidify. Then wire it in sections, as you can't really pull these thin copper wires through difficult curves, but the straight sections are very easy to just pull the wire through and then glue it in place. You can then sag the wires a bit to give the rails a more realistic appearance. Going to be using these a lot in the future as they're really high quality and look much better than typical photo etch rails that come with most kits, one $20 kit includes more than enough wire and rails for multiple large ship models, I'd say 3-4 total kits.
