>>9994783Well, by popular-ish demand an early look at things now instead of when I start building it then.
Main hull turned out to be resin instead fo 3D printed. Seems well cast, reasonably crisp and so far not a single bubble spotted. A little bit of, hm, "stubble" in a line along the side, thankfully on a protruding surface, to sand off. Some very slight traces of 3D print texture from the master can be seen in two places, primer may cover that on is own. The underside is also not quite a casting block but has "extra depth" for the resin so it'll need some sanding.
3D print seem pretty good overall. Superstructure bit has a bit of a "base" to it that'll need sanding off, underside of that appears properly parallel with the top deck. Lengths of thin brass rod was included for the upper bits of the masts. Some 3D texture on the sides of it, and on the other bits, but it doesn't seem too bad at the moment at least and the rather visible large deck of the superstructure is as you can see entirely without any such.
All in all seems entirely ok for a relatively esoteric subject from a new and miniscule maker. Certainly nothing whatsoever like the Sands Model Strf90 or your AMX (or the more deeply textured bits of the Jetmads Viggen).
