Just look at what the Federation did, they launched billions of people into space and everyone got a really nice home for free. A place to work. There were giant parks, lakes, and entertainment places.
It's what every commie hopes for, instead of the reality it was. 70 years of peace and some spoiled coloniest even had the money to make warships and super experimental giant robots, ontop of living in one of the most futuristic looking colonies, complete with their own fucking 1700s-style castles and palaces.
