The character designs weren't shit though. The problem with a lot of the newer stuff is their very design is shit. A shit design makes a shit toy, no matter how good the basic toy is. You can have all the articulation you want, for example, on an Animated 'former. It won't stop the design from being fucking hideous with the oft spindly limbs, megaboots feet, oddly angular design, and noseless flat humanoid faces.
