A doll line called Naturalistas is coming put and I can't help but think of the other many all black doll lines and wonder why they keep failing. Not just these I mean the black So In Style dolls and the Shanni dolls and that other recent line that wasn't Mattel.
Is it the prices are too high? Is it that black girls aren't into dolls? Or that black moms aren't buying dolls? Is it overstocked expectations?
I live in a large black population state and I still see black dolls shelf warm the most.
I'm sure if they would sell well we wouldn't have so many of these startup and die out in the last 3 decades.
