Mattel dinosaurs look better for display but there are a few Hasbro dinosaurs that have much higher play value, I feel.
B&B Stegoceratops is leagues better than BD Triceratops, and B&B Spinosaurus is much, much more fun that BD Herrerasaurus.
Obviously Herrerasaurs looks better than the fugly Spino, but when it comes to having them in the hand and playing around with them, the Spino is so much better to move and fiddle with.
While the Spino only FEELS better, the Stegoceratops feels and arguably looks better than the BD Trike. The BD Trike has almost 0 articulation and it's horns are an extremely soft rubber, I can't ram then into the other dinosaurs at all.
I do definitely prefer the larger Mattel dinos, and the Indoraptor is amazing, but I prefer the playablity of Hasbro's B&B line to the BD Walmart line.
I really only find myself playing with Indoraptor, AP Blue and Legacy Baby T. Rex. Sometimes the Dimorphodon, too.
