Picked up an english purple shell X. Couple days into raising and it's a great device. Good combination of low maintenance care barrier and high interactivity with training / quest mode. Seems like the only other easily obtainable (reasonably priced) X devices out there right now are the earlier models (XA/XB - pretty sure I have a couple of these from launch in storage). I'd consider getting an XD – any indication of when they'll become more widely available? The XE and XF have great rosters, background screens and shell designs. Any chance we'll get english releases of those?
Having played on the tamagotchi pix when it came out and recently attempted using a tamagotchi smart, I hope Bandai maintains the integrity of these retro devices if they ever add any additional elements like color screens.
