Bandai T-Rex gacha review Part 1:
Now that I have it in-hand, It's DEFINITELY a good idea to paint wash the parts first!. I use Testor's acrylic wash. Paint it on, wait a few minutes and rub it off with a rag.
Next step is to assemble the hinge/swivel joints. Using a cat claw trimmer ($1 at the Dollar Tree) works really well in removing the pieces from the sprue. Each joint is molded in 2 pieces. There are 12 regular-sized sets, 2 small sets, and one weird ball joint (one end) with key shaped pin (other end) part.
Assemble the dino! Since all the instructions are in Japanese, you have to figure out that the tiny joints are for the arms, and the weird ball/key shaped joint is for the backbone-to-hip connection. WARNING!!! Don't be a dumbass like me. I broke a &^%$@#&(! joint peg while trying to get it into the matching socket! You have to push it in hard to get that satisfying "click", and sometimes fumblefingers can put too much pressure, bend the peg and break it. Use a hairdryer and warm ALL of the body parts (the ones with sockets) and THEN put the joint peg in. I started contemplating how exactly I would have to fix the broken peg.
