The original swamp skier wasn't exactly a seaworthy toy and I don't think Hasbro necessarily intended for it to be used in water. Having said that though, the remake would likely be a reimagining to some degree and it would be cool if they actually made it capable of floating with a figure seated on it. I've seen scaled up versions of the original and the original design doesn't look very impressive at a larger scale, so there's definitely some room for interpretation there.
