>>11633145>Is resin bad?Not particularly. It is more fragile, but for purely display purposes it's fine. There is potential for it to react with other plastics if left in direct contact for a long time, but the same can be said of plastic itself (look up "Mego melt").
I just personally don't want resin because I like the specific toy feeling of plastic. I like the feeling of knowing that it IS a toy, the idea of something being so delicate that it has to be specifically a display piece for the rest of its life just bugs me. Same reason I don't like doing custom paint jobs on my figures, I paint minis and model kits, so yes I COULD add more detail to a figure or paint a custom head, but then it's not a toy anymore and the whole reason for me buying it is gone.
