It's the US that balks at these prices, but i think it's because we're not used to seeing toys liek these anymore.
I remember the Exo-Squad figures being pretty expensive, at least to my 12 year old self's view. After these, there really weren't a lot of toys like you see in the Diaclone line. There were some attempts by Hasbro with putting power suits into the GI Joe line, and that really didn't go well either.
To me, Teccotoy's mechs are pretty cheap, since other lines like JoyToys crappyass mechs are around $80 each. I know my McFarlane did the TitanFall mech, but that was pretty limited in everyway, including the minifigure. That was around $30.
So for $60, it's a good deal from a westerner's perspective. To the uninitiated, i guess not.
