Right now we're in a nice little safe bubble after the last scare made a lot of companies focus on 1:18/3.75" figures, because of the uncertainty of the markets.
It's a very safe scale for collectors, as seen with all the popular widely supported kickstarters. Whereas 1:12 doesn't always get supported.
But what does this matter?
1:18 scale is a proven scale in being able to handle a wide range of genres, subjects, and likes, while providing a high degree of quality and articulation.
