I kept thinking that I had the robot legs folded in the way they were supposed to be (the instructions aren't the clearest things to work with), and it kept fucking with how much the whole leg could collapse down and then peg in right.
Once I figured out where my idiocy was centered it was an easy fix, but I was pretty stubborn that I was right.
