In the very early 80s when I was still practically a fetus I acquired some of these Diener figures somehow. I guess they were still being sold in stores despite being more of a 70s toy? Who knows. I just remember that they were awesome and some were even terrifying. The medusa/gorgon one was so fucking freaky to me as a 4 year old that I chucked it across the room and it disappeared behind the radiator forever. I was able to find two of these in an old chest of childhood toys, recently; a brown veiny headed alien and some brown winged condor man. I'd love to collect more but they're so rare and expensive.
